Chopped pepper chili sauce (or called duojiao) is from Hunan province in China. It’s the main ingredient for many world famous Chinese spicy dishes: duojiao steamed fish head, duojiao steamed rips. It’s perfect for steaming, but also stir fry or simply mixing it in your noodle soup or Chinese salad.

I was searching for it in Germany for a long while, but unable to locate any. Apparently they are also quite expensive in China. This seasoned & fermented chili sauce will be your next secret weapon for making authentic Chinese spicy food.
