In this seminar, we’ll be taking a closer look at some of the regional cuisines that can be found throughout China, with a particular focus on what are known as the Eight Great Culinary Traditions of Chinese Cooking.

It should come as no surprise that, in a country as vast as China, there are as many different regional styles of cuisine as there are stars in the sky. Historically, however, eight regional cuisines have been consistently earmarked as the best.

During this interactive seminar, we’ll be discussing what makes each of these eight regional styles so special and taking a look at the history behind an emblematic signature dish from each style. By the end of this seminar, you’ll leave with a greater understanding of Chinese cuisine as a whole, as well as the Chinese names of certain dishes so you can impress your friends during your next trip to a Chinese restaurant.

Be forewarned, however, that you shouldn’t attend this seminar on an empty stomach!
