Chinese Chicken with Onions in Oyster Sauce ingredients
Serve 2 – 3 pax
1 piece chicken thigh meat (~230g or 8.1oz or 0.5lb
2 rmedium sized red onions (can be replaced with yellow onions)
2 dried chilli – rehydrated
4 cloves of thinly sliced garlic
2 stalks of spring onion
1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
1 tablespoon of premium dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon of low sodium light soy sauce
1 teaspoon of sugar (skip this if yellow onions are used)
4 tablespoons of Chinese white rice wine
A few dashes of white pepper
Some cornstarch solution

Hi. made this two weeks ago but kinda messed up the sequence i.e. ended up marinating the chicken in the oyster and soya mix and then added it to the pan with the rest of the ingredients (had to let the chicken cook over low heat with the lid closed for a little longer for it to cook through). Still came out super tasty. so thanks for the inspiration 🙂

  6. can i use chinese cooking wine aswell instead of rice whine? the cooking wine is one u use in other recipes which has a brown-ish colour. but its also made of rice i think.
