Chinatown Kuala Lumpur, aka Jalan Petaling, is a food haven of authentic street food. Most of the stalls are run by aunties and uncles who have been there for decades and even generations! Whenever you visit Kuala Lumpur please check out this beautiful area.

Here are all the details of all the street food I’ve tried in Chinatown:

Chestnut
It’s a delicious nut, freshly roasted with a very yummy flavor.
Price: MYR 10.00(USD 2.40) for 300gm and MYR 30.00(USD 7.30) for 1kg

Kim Soya Bean Milk and Curd
Homemade Soya Bean milk and curd, with added sugar syrup and brown sugar, if you don’t wanna it sweet, you can ask them not to add any sugar.
Price: MYR 2.80(USD 0.70) for Soya Milk bottle and MYR 2.50 ( USD 0.60) for Soya Bean Curd

Mochi
This sweet lady makes this tasty Mochi every day and she has been selling it for 70 years, it was really good and with added peanuts, the flavor was very nice.
Price: MYR 5.00 (USD 1.20)

Local Donuts
This was surprisingly delicious, the donut was so soft and the reb bean jam is just straight-up yummy. Highly recommended for all donut lovers.
Price: MYR 1.20 (USD 0.30)
