Nankinmachi, Kobe’s Chinatown is a Japanese Street Food Paradise. As part of our Kobe Japan Travel Guide, we’ll show you the top things to do and eat in Kobe city- starting with its famous Chinatown. Nankinmachi is the largest Chinatown in Kansai and one of the three major Chinatowns in Japan- along with Yokohama Chinatown and Nagasaki Chinatown. In this Kobe street tour video we’ll show you some hidden street food spots and unique japan street foods! Nankinmachi is rich in history and you should add it to your Japan itinerary! As Kobe is only 30 mins from Osaka it is Japan’s perfect day trip and should not be missed especially if you visit over the Chinese New Year period as many festivities are held!

  2. The pork belly bun is a take on the Taiwanese guo bao btw. Loved the duck "wrap" you got, would just come back for it. Of course everything is made for the more Japanese taste and changed, but it is a nice Chinatown ❤️

  3. HAHAHAHA….White people here in Japan. The teachers have infested this area and I can't get away from them. I even seen a white chick and a black chick in a traditional Japanese parade. Really kinda makes me sick as they ruin the whole cultural experience because they want to be Japanese but never will be excepted as one.

  9. Yes, there was an intermission of your YouTube channelling… but very good to see a Chinatown in Japan. Always didactic with the factual info, which I find especially trivial and fascinating. I wish you went further with more food tasting – such as fried or steamed dumplings, juicy buns, dim sum samplings. I inquired before about if you share some of your videos to your students, and how you incorporate this in daily language lessons? When does your school contract end – in March/April? Why did you not teach English in China rather than Japan? Cheers.
