I had fun cooking Guyanese Chinese food with Chef Fay at Medina Halal Restaurant & Bakery on 111-41 Lefferts Boulevard in New York and had the most amazing experience. He was friendly and accommodating and displayed professionalism as he prepared the delicious dishes. I saw him cooking the house special fried rice, vegetable fried rice, chowmein, lowmein, pepper shrimp, pepper chicken, among other dishes. He also showed me some he had prepared while I enjoyed dinner with my mom and two sisters. I also saw his staff, chef Sally and Bindi making daal puri and paratha roti. Chef Fay was born in China and moved to Guyana with his parents. They opened a Chinese restaurant and supermarket in Berbice, where he got his expertise in cooking Chinese food. Medina Halal delivers food through orders from Grubhub and Seamless and also does catering for events.
