NYC has no shortage of authentic Chinese cuisine. Manhattan Chinatown food options are plentiful, and Chinese food in Flushing, Queens is second to none in the US outside of California. However, next time you’re in NYC you don’t have to go to Chinatown for great and authentic Chinese food. Xi’an Famous Foods is nothing short of the best Chinese fast food chain in New York City and it sells authentic hand-ripped noodles for every single order! In fact it’s so good that Anthony Bourdain loved Xi’an Famous Foods and personally helped to promote it by visiting it on the Xi’an Famous Foods No Reservations episode

Hand-ripped noodles, also known as hand-pulled noodles, is a meticulous process for creating delicious, springy, chewy, and elastic noodles that go perfectly with a strong, savory, meaty sauce. Xi’an Famous Foods in NYC may be a chain restaurant, but its hand-pulled noodle recipe is one of the best in the city, perhaps the best in the USA! I may not know their hand-ripped noodle recipe, or how to make hand-pulled noodles, or how to make hand-ripped noodles, but I do know that the food at Xi’an is among the best authentic Chinese food in New York City and the best cheap eats in NYC and the best noodles in New York City! Check it out!
