About Johnny Chang

Wah Ching Gangster that became a vessel for God. Johhny Chang grew up rough and tough in the projects in the Chinese section of the East Side of Los Angeles known as Alhambra/San Gabriel/Monterey Park/Rosemead areas. Impoverished and having an Alcoholic Father who was violent towards his Mother, Johhny jumped off the porch at age 11 his only option was to find Family in the local Chinese youth in his hood. Those who collected with each other were also from similar circumstances. Broken homes and poverty pushed these youth to unite and protect themselves from other gangs in the area. Johnny become an active and reputable member of Ocean Side Wah Ching aka the “O’s or the “Dubs”. Johhny ended up catching a case as a Youth Offender was sent to California Youth Authority aka Gladiator School. After release Johnny hit the streets hard and now as an adult caught another case. C Yard Ironwood Prison is where Johnny found himself. He learned quickly to program with the “Other Car” made up of his Asian race some of which were his opps on the street. Johnny soon realized that these opps became his comrades inside the Prison as other races collected accordingly. Eventually Johnny was able to escape the Hell inside his mind which included violence, drug dealing and suicidal thoughts and did so through his walk with Christ and unwavering Faith in God. His new OG’s are Pastors and righteous Men of God. Johnny is now an ordained Pastor with a Prison Ministry and speaks into inmates in Prisons across California and hopes to lead these men to find hope in a hopeless place.
